MY CB 500/4.
« on: September 18, 2011, 08:57:59 am »
Coming soon.
Hi all, its been a long time coming, but i thought i would have a go at putting my little 500/4 on site to have a bit of a yarn.  A lot of you will know i have a 500/4 racer but shes getting on a bit now, so we have bit the bullet and bought a new Davies Frame. My mate Dave has one ( not Specweld ) and Howell has bought one for his son Yrjo.
Slowly, because i am not very good with computers, i hope to put on some pics as it progresses, along with some info of my old bike, which i have had for a few years.

The old Honda in the corner of the workshop :'( waiting to be finished for the last race of the season in Scotland at East Fortune on 8th & 9th October, i've had this bike since early 1978 (with a few different parts on her) its still got the original iom full race cam in that i bought on the 6th October 1978. So the cam in the engine will be 33 years old i reckon thats good value for money !!! :)

Yep the frame kits are £1850, frame, swinging arm, alloy engine mountings and rear wheel adjusters. I think they are a lot cheaper than the Bakker frames but maybe Howell can confirm this, as he has just ordered a Davies Frame for his son Yrjo.
Theres a couple of pics on Davies Motor sports blog with the exhaust pipes on.... looking good. :)

Hi Colin,

Nice pics, just got mail from John Davies, the are gonna make our frame now.
A Bakker frame costs about 6000  euro's !!!!!!
At the moment I am on Holliday on the warm and sunny French south coast.
You know Ernst Hagen he has also ordered a Davies frame and an engine from Gerrit.
I hope our frame is ready after my holliday.

regards René
