Well, folks… its been almost 2 years and I missed the forum so much I had to come back. The time away did me some good, I think. I was able to refocus my energies on getting some positivity back in my life. I was able to be a real person, plugged into real life. After about 5 years of being on the forum, I was simply taking it too seriously. I took a few steps back, and now I’m taking a few forward again. I’ve lurked here and there while I was away, and realized I upset more of you than I suspected… I want to apologize for that. I’m gonna try to be more of a fly on the wall, a listener, and try to reply always in a constructive tone.
Some big changes have gone down since we all last chatted. I got married to my lovely wife! I left my job as the manager of the storage facility, and spent the next 7 months trying to find work (to no avail)… since it seemed as though we were at a turning point in our lives we decided it was time for her to go to grad school like she had planned all along. We now own our first home in Mesa, AZ and she’s on a PhD path for Earth and Planetary Exploration at ASU. I am the sole salesperson/in-home consultant for screenspecialist dot com. So far, things are difficult but rewarding here in AZ. I actually feel like I’ve gone somewhere in life, for once.
Bikes? You ask… Still the same ones, I’m trying to sort an ignition issue w/ the cb350f and the 400f project is no further along. We have yet to really pin down some of our debt, so most of our money just goes to getting by, none really left over for the toys. The traffic here is deadly, so I’m really considering selling my 92 zx7r and getting a 2-seater sand-rail or a quad or two instead. Its dune time again!
As I stated to the moderators the other day, I really miss being able to talk about my my favorite bikes with the only people that really understand my obsession. Anyway, I hope you all will find it in your hearts to accept me back in, I know some of you may never but I’ll give it another shot if you will.
