You are supposed to use it in place of your filler plug.

Waste of time.

Cycle X sells those things as well.
I thought about buying one, but I would rather spend the cash on a
actual oil cooler..

I agree with Steve. I can't see how this could dissipate enough heat to make it worthwhile.. except to the seller.  ;)

Does it work... well that depends on your definition of work.

It's using heatpipe technology to transfer heat from the oil out to a heatsink that is in open airflow. Technically speaking, I'm sure there is some transference of heat energy.

Probably not enough to make a difference though.

You'd probably be better off fitting fins on the inside of sump so more oil contacts it.

man after reading all the negatives on this, i've got to say yes i think it does help. i was always burning my leg on my cb 350f. i got one of those from mrs. superdeals took off my oil filler cap, screwed this part it, and while you still get heat from the crankcase, it is cooler. i'd say it's worth the few bucks it cost.

I had big problems with them a few months back.
I got the parts after I threatened bad feed back and a good slagging off on this and other forums.
They maybe power sellers but I wouldn't chance it again.

I'm sure it would keep the dipstick head cooler... Looks like you'd need visegrips to check the oil level, though.

Not commenting one way or the other, but I thought that style "oil cooler" threaded into where the oil gallery plug would be (where an aftermarket oil pressure gauge would usually go).
