I heard that OCC has possibly commissioned a certain company in far northern Wisconsin (?) to build a 750 engine. The crank is supposedly being produced by an old TQ guy in Indiana for that company in Wisconsin. I will mention no names. We'll have to see if this #$%* ever happens.
You are telling me that the fools at OCC are going to dive into the world of Hondas ??
I think I just threw up in my mouth alittle.... ::)

Hey if a company got into actively making performance parts for the 750, I would buy em.

That company might just be "S&S". The idiots at OCC def. have enough cash to convince the guys at S&S to make whatever they want. I know for a fact BigDog Motorcycles has had S&S working on their own v-twin powerplant for the past few years, which should be on the market next year...

I'm going to start following Teal's post much more closely given his choice of avatars lately...too bad we don't still have that Karma meter or I'd be sending a few your way!

Not S & S - not a V Twin company  - They build 750 engines & sell performance parts - I'm not telling.........
This comes from the guy that says he was contacted about doing the crank. I hope I get my soft tail frame for a 300 tire before this hits the air. I'd hate for OCC to get too much credit. Anyway, I'd love to see this happen!!
Hasn't American Chopper done a metric V Twin ?

As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

I dont know about a metric but the have done one with a lawnmower engine. SO I really dont see what the big deal would be of them doing a CB 750.

The fun is about to start. Will let you guys know how it goes. I have already gotten good votes from a Busa rider that I passed yesterday in traffic. Got big scores and some respect for the CB 750.  ;D Plus some more kudos from a Honda Hawk group that was riding through.

The meet and greet was ok so far.

However I was already scolded for a kick ass burn out  ;D.

Just me I guess. Many of the guys I ran into seemed some what interested but who cares really. ::)

First impression was that they were stuffy BMW type riders.

I see we have an update in another thread.

http://www.sohc4.us/forums/index.php?topic=9918.new#new

Before you lay down your supposed law on another member, think about what you'd have done with a nice bored out rebuild, 6' 6" and 275 pounds. If you'd not have, why are (some of )you bragging half the rest of the time ?

Secondly, I have seen more than a small amount of support for speed/hot dogging on this site, not by all members of course, but by plenty. If one member actually at one point does some proud, where are all YOU hot shots then ?  ;D
That's right, I think many know where I'm coming from, when it isn't all talk, but the real deal, where are all you hot dogs ?

Come on let's show a bit of fairness, comraderie, and understanding.  ;)

If I did not know better I would have thought this was a Harley forum. It appears that I have gotten the same welcome here as I got at the HSTA ride for the burn out. As a matter fact the Harley forum might have been less judgemental of a burn out and other tomfoolery on a bike.

I figure they are my $300 tires and I can burn them as often as I please. ;D

No money where the mouth is I guess SilconDoc. I can tell you if I hear of any bragging garbage big talk from anyone after the chastizing I got on the other thread there will be a simply response of "Big Mouth - do nothing" on thier thread.  ;D Teal and Doc excluded

BTW big mouths = I did not ride at all today...

Do it !

I have seen riding my CB around, the newer crotch-rocket riders look down on my bike, because it
isn't a new plastic fantastic bike. I usually just do a burnout next to them until their girlfriend on the back starts coughing (makes me feel good)  ;D

Let us know how it goes......

Damn right  ;D

I think we just might do that and found the first all sohc club for Illinios and Wisconsin. I have some riders in Madison and Milwaukee interested in just such a thing. Plan to run adds in the papers in those areas as well as in my own and run a few adds on postaroo.

Don't have to vent here I don't think!!!

Quote from the entrance page "Feel free to talk about anything and everything in this forum."
As SOHC riders we are shunned by most brand name riders.

You know, I dont much care what a person does on a bike when it is themselves. I have seen people standing on their seats and crap like that and while I think it is dumb and I would never do it, I dont reeally care if they do. Now if they sit there and pop wheelies and do other stupid things with a passenger, then I might be more likely to say something as the passenger has no control over the situation.

Your burnout was pretty cool I bet. Gee, once I finally get my 78K fully tuned from the stuff I just did, I will probably try a burn. I tried to squak my tire for the first time ever and even with the carbs unsynced and my low speed mix not set, I still did it. I though  it was cool as all hell. That bag that thought it was her duty to ream you, well piss on her. She handled that VERY poorly. Maybe they are not about that but then how does she know if she was speaking for everyone?

And her thing about riding gear, unless it is law, you paid your 35 and so if you have to have certain gear, well then they can pay you your 35 back.

I know I dont think some things are good to do TO your bike, but how you use it, well everyone is different. Clearly this ride is probably not for the vintage crowd then, which is too bad. Some people just cannot appreciate a bike which heavily influenced bike design since its creation.

For the first time in a long time Eldar I agree with you on many levels.

Really I do understand why they dont want people doing burnouts one after the other. I mean really if you are not resident and nail burnouts when you visit an area, they may ask that you dont come back.  ::)

I am trying to get on with Ton Up Wisconsin. I figure it would be cool to organize a ride but keeping a club going? That takes a special person with time and time is something I do not have in excess.

I did get some scores from people in the crowd about the burner. It's like they liked that I was a rebel in thier group but where not about to say so publicaly.

I have full gear and did not think too much of it until I put in in the perspective of coming from many states away. You sign on for the ride and get all excited only to find out that some organizer at the ride says that you need another $300+ of gear to ride with them. Seemed like a sneaky trick really.

You know, it could have been a bunch of crap about the gear, made up by that bag just to try and get you out of the ride or some garbage like that.

I guess I never knew you disagreed with me! ;D

I am pretty open on most things. Only a few I just cant endorse, such as frame welding without a jig and proper reinforcement. but things like swaping forks and things like that, no issue there. I might actually get an F3 fork to do a dual setup with out having to go through all of teals issues! ;D

Everyone likes to have fun. Methods are different but so are people. A burnout, may be childish to some but I bet we would think some of the things they do are childish too! The world keeps turning.

Smoke a fatty brother! I plan on trying it once I have my tuning done!
