Topic: Top End Fitment

I have a 73 cb750 and am wondering what top ends would bolt on my bottom end?
I believe 69-76 would bolt right on but am not sure. I am wondering because there is a very early model top
end that has been completely rebuilt and has a full new piston kit for sale in my area.

I have a 73 cb750 myself and I am wondering the same question as I got to replace the head gasket and would like the the latter year kit as it includes the rubber do hickeys that go around the dowls.

I have researched this more but still have no luck.

Rubber do hickeys came in some time in the K4 model . Any combo of head / cylinder from K1- K6 will work . If you find a K0 head it will work too but you might be better off selling it as its worth more than later heads . At some point the oil jet in the head was changed from a non removable type (early ) with a single hole to a removable type . The removable type has a stem drilled with holes across it as well as a hole along its length . If small debris blocks a hole on the later type there are others to allow oil through . In the early type if the hole is blocked , no oil .
