What year carbs?

I just bought a set of carbs. Was curious as to the year. I don't have them in my pocession yet but I want to get everything to mount them to my 73 engine. This is the only pic I have. Don't know if it's possible to tell without model numbers

looks like 72 to me but the way to tell is get the number off the side of the carb casting they will work fine

 They will work.. with your rubbers.. all 71-76 are almost the same
 77/78 will fit if you get the manifolds .. and I think the airbox will fit..

Thanks guys, I'm pumped to hear this bike run before I tear into her. I don't have the stock air box. I was just going to mount some cone k&n filters on them.

With the the double fuel line set up they were using it was probably on a 71-74 engine. Looks like a can of carb dunk may be in your future  ;) Hope she fires.

FYI newer (77-78) airboxes do not fit straight onto older frames - the tabs don't line up. Also newer airboxes have larger holes for the larger intakes of the PD carbs.
