hello
« on: September 27, 2011, 01:14:35 PM »
My name is Mark and I just acquired a 1978 Honda CB750K.

The bike was free and missing the title. I am in the process of getting a new title through the DMV.

The bike has been modified to have a rear disc brake but all it has is the disc and caliper with no linkage or master cylinder. It also looks like it has a CB750F seat and rear fender. It also has a 4 into 1 Pipe.
Thank you
Mark V

By the time I pay for replacement parts to be able to ride it I could have bought a driver. The engine runs but that is all.

Gas tank has been repaired but flaking inside.
Rear brakes were converted to a caliper disc but missing all linkage and master cylinder.
front brakes seized.
bad starter.
other misc junk wrong.

I have to get a title by having a Police officer verify the VIN, send in pictures, get a bill of sale all because the original owner lost the title and sold it but never gave the buyer a title. This bike has been sold over and over and driven illegally for years with no registration.

I have a Police officer for a friend and he ran the VIN and nothing showed up. This is a good thing cause it will make it almost 100% where I can get a title for it. In the meantime I will not put $0.01 into it.
Thank you

Welcome, Mark. It looks like there are more F parts on the bike than the seat, fender and exhaust. How about some more pics of the exhaust and front forks?

You have to have 5 posts before you can post external links. The F experts can tell you what you have better than I can, but I don't think those are K forks.

So it is like a hodge podge of different models then. Cool I guess then I wont feel totally obligated to make it 100% stock then.

I know for sure it is a k because the VIN starts out as CB750K.

Different models and different years, I would suppose. Definitely F model forks, front brakes, and wheels. Those carbs appear to be from a '76 or earlier bike as well.
