hi from oz
« on: September 24, 2011, 01:46:12 AM »
Hi from downunder , been lurking for a while so was about time i joined . I have a 72 k2 750 which ive had for 32 years , she has been in a mates shed for the last 20 years .  2 years ago i got all enthusiastic and went searching amongst the wheel barrow,ladders and other stuff that seems to grow in sheds and found her.
   What a sorry site, no longer was it nice and shiney as i recalled , so i dragged her out with my mate laughing behind me saying something about a run to the scrap metal yard.  Thanfully i took a few pics before washing her down ( will post some when i work out how to resize ) I washed the tank out , oiled the rocker gear thru the caps , checked the oil and put jumper leads on the battery leads and to our surprise she fired up  on 3 cylinders  , cleaned the offending plug and all was well. Lots of cleaning later and its not looking to bad  ;
  Registered her for a year but found i didnt really get the time to ride that often , i ride a honda vfr 800 every day to work and didnt want to risk taking the k2 just in case some one liked it more than me while it was parked in back alleys in sydney at night.
 So now im building a new motor from an f sereis for a bit of fun on the dragstrip.  cheers thanks to all who post.

Hi Oldboy, welcome to the dark side !
I escaped from Sydney a long time ago ,so I get where you're coming from .

I can remember a few times  mates would go out to where they left their bike and not find it there,  or find it not there  ???

great looking four .. good to see another resurrection

cheers Jeff.
I know its only rock and roll,
but I like it...
