Has anyone figured out what they want to be when they grow up?
« on: October 01, 2011, 03:48:42 PM »
I know I haven't :-\  I guess until I do I'll just keep doing what I've been doing for the last 25 years and that's working in the parts dept at a car dealership. This job is only temporary, that's what I told myself when I started it back in 1986. On well they pay me just enough to keep me coming back everyday ::) ::)

I have no answer to that question because I never plan on growing up. :)

I know the feeling. I started out just happy to have a job and now 25 years later I guess I have to call it a career...

yeah, this all sounds way too familiar...funny how a job that I was happy to take and paid well 12 years ago now sucks and the pay matches...

I found a job six months ago, after being out of work for nearly a year, it pays like what I made over ten years ago, and I still ride motorcycles that where made when I was a teenager.
I don't mull over milestones anymore, it's depressing.

Uhh, wait a minute... I started mixing thinset at 3:00 pm and thought it would be used up and tile stuck down in a couple hours.  I finished that up after 11:00, lost a whole day of college football. Does that make me a tile setter?

No, just an "Honest Bum."

I always thought race car driver or parking lot attendant. Then again at 58, I'm not sure when I will grow up. No time soon. I guess dragster crew chief would be as close to a title as anything.

Scary thought.

Oh, I figured out what I would want to do but knew I had to make some money so I do what I do and not what I would want to do.

Get it?  ;)
