Footpeg Question
« on: October 02, 2011, 06:05:23 PM »
Hi all,
Well, here's another in my recent installment of probably eventually irrelevant questions (I've changed my mind on this thing more then I care to think about).

I was sort of thinking about putting some lighter, more modern billet rider footpegs on my K5 (when real mechanical skill eludes one, one searches for convenient bolt ons  :P).  I searched and found many threads outlining confusion about this, but some thought that new Honda 600F pegs might fit reasonably well.  As far as I can tell, all Honda sportbike pegs from about 2000 (including F pegs) are the same fit.

My question is, if I find billet pegs which are round to eliminate the angle issue, would these fit directly in?  Is angle the only issue, or is there a clearance issue with the male end as well?

Cheers, and all help is greatly appreciated!

if you have basic machine shop skills yes if not then take the knuckle they pin into with you when you pick them out
when you own a motorcycle the wife does not have to find you handy she just has to find you
