Love the out of the box stuff.

I'll be using the MicroSquirt ECU and '08 600RR throttle bodies. You can pick them up for less than $50 on eBay. I will be using the IAC that comes on the throttle bodies and I also have the IAT from the 600RR that I will be using. I plan to run in closed loop so I won't have a MAF. For oxygen sensors I will just use standard o2 sensors but I have a wideband setup for tuning. There is no water temp since my motor is air cooled but I will be installing a sensor to monitor the head temp and probably oil temp. As for fuel delivery I also have a stock 600RR fuel pump that I will install in a custom built tank that fits under the seat in the triangle portion of the frame. I am also adapting the 600RR stator and rotor so that my charging system can handle all the new electrical demands.

The pistons are from Wiseco and made for the 750 big bore setup. They are larger than the standard 750 bore which I think is 62mm but I'm not sure.

I hope my engine builder has the chambers done and valves built for the head by the time I get home in a couple of weeks. I would like to get the engine together and on a stand so that I can play with the EFI prior to putting it all into the frame.

Very cool. I am sure you know this, but you're going to want the R/R from the new bike, too.

Yep I've already got it. I actually have the whole wiring harness so that I would have all the correct plugs. I just have to integrate it with the MicroSquirt and I should be good to go.

I'm not home yet. I should land in GA around the 1st so just under 2 weeks to go. When I get home I still have to get my new shop in order. I moved all of my stuff into this building just before I headed here so nothing is set up, its just all stored right now. I will be building another 30X60 building to house all my vehicles and then I can arrange my current building so that I can actually do some work. I still have to run air lines, upgrade the 208 service to 200amps and put my epoxy floor coating down. So all that being said I will tinker with my bike some but I will mostly be working on getting the shop setup. I hope to get it all done in a couple of months. I've got a ton of projects that I need to get started!

Sounds like you've been spying on my place. no new shops but always something else to slow the process down....

I'm over in Americus. It's about 3 hours west of Savannah. If you take HWY 280 it runs straight through my town. I can't wait to get home so I can make some progress! 2.5 years in Afghanistan was enough for me. I'm ready to leave!

I would love to ride over to Savannah sometime. I'm not in the service here, I'm just a civilian working here to support the military. As they downsize bases are closing so its a good time for me to leave. I certainly am ready to be home!

Thanks. I like challenging projects. In addition to the bike I'm also working on putting a 05 Duramax and Allison trans in a 52 GMC 1 ton truck to be my shop truck / parts chaser. I am also working on dropping a turbo Ecotec engine in my 1966 Datsun Roadster. As you can see I like EFI and I enjoy the challenges these projects require. It pushes the boundaries of my knowledge so it's a great way to learn.
