Viva la CHOPGUN!
« on: October 24, 2011, 06:51:54 PM »
DISCLAIMER: "First let me stress I did not make this mold a friend let me borrow it and he had alotta hours in the original plug construction which he made from cardboard and plaster painstakingly ."

Now back to the show....

First I wanna say Chopguns are cool-  turned a fairly time consuming hand job(dude get your mind oughta the gutter ;D ) into assembly line production-
I will be modding some new designs for myself and interested parties. These haven't been trimmed as you can see but will be . They are finished in white Gel Coat and are paint ready-  The quality is comparable to the other  pros out there .  This shape is unique and contours the CB750 frame rails nicely. Also there is a transition lip into the tank which lends itself to smoother flow and styling then a more traditional "cut" look..

Pretty stoked about this seat pan and how it turned out . Thought I would share for your viewing pleasure!

Chicks Dig it too!  ;D

That a sweet storm trooper seat. I like that it has a nice transition from the seat to the bulbous part. Some seat are way to abrupt.

Not sure ,personally I think it'd be a tad bit large for a  550 but a friend of mine has one so I can check and see and bump some pix-  The final product will/can be painted(2K) and striped up any color and also inlaid with Honda Gel type Medallions -  Not sure on pricing yet. If and when I wanna offer something at a much better price then whats out there now for everybody on the shoe string budgets-  I just cant see having as much in a seat pan and paint as the bike prolly cost- I got interested in Jap Bikes because they were cheap fun - If I can give back then it's more gravy on the potates .... pass the salt and pepper.

Sounds good. I'd consider selling it unpainted too, for the DIY'ers.  Thx

Nice, I want one.  Unpainted is fine.
