I like cherry pie!  Apple pie is a close second.  Peach cobbler is good, too, especially with a scoop of Blue Bell vanilla ice cream (it's a Texas thang).

I don't care for the bike - sorry.

Seriously It's TV, not anything important or worthy of vitriol.  And WoW there's a difference between reality and Reality TV, who knew.  Save your arguments for something important....... GO RED SAWX!!!!!

 Are you for real?
How many people do you think are going to be influenced by the show?
There is already a massive upswing in poorly built 'Cafe Racers', it can only get worse with stuff like that going on.

"Surely you can't be serious?"
I never kid and don't call me Shirley!

Was I serious about being a Sox fan?  Yes born and bread...2 outta 3 baby!

Was I serious about the difference between reality and "Reality TV"?  Uhm I think that's been covered here!

Was I serious about their being things more important than modding bikes?  Yes like making it to the next paycheck, aging parents, dogs and PIE!!!

And before you dismiss all this and me.  I do get that newbies may ruin it for everybody.  But that's the way of the world you have a better chance of stemming the Tide.  For instance I can't watch Hell's Kitchen or anything with Celebrity Chefs, I've been in the restaurant biz as long as you've been in the motorcycle biz.   I just go to work do it the right way and control what is within my small sphere, or ie. do the best I can. Go ahead be upset, be vocal, this just isn't my fight, and don't be so surprised it isn't others.

Sorry, the limitations of these interwebs creating miscommunication again! :)

I'm pie guy through and through. But being that I can't find good crust anywhere (which in my opinion, takes it from decent to stellar in 2 seconds flat), I typically opt out altogether.

No cake for me, and cupcakes are even worse. I just go straight ice cream now, pint at a time!

When I worked on the family farm in upstate NY during summers, my personal record was 13 apple pies in one summer. Other people ate a few slices here and there, but not many. It's a summer that I will never top, and that's just sad....
...my grandma told me you have to use real lard in the crust to get the proper flakiness...now my grandma has been gone for several years and my sister bakes the pies...but she says it is difficult to find real lard at the crappy grocerie stores that are prevalent these days...

Crisco works as well.  And the other "magic" I remember is that you need to use cold water.  No idea why, but after 13 pies, I wasn't arguing. :)

Maybe that's it.  Not sure - and my own source has been gone 15 years now...

I wish Cafe Racer TV would do a bake-off, so we could get to the bottom of this mess!

I would like to see them do a bake off. It would have been better than that stupid build off they did.

Cold water is the secret to good pizza dough as well. Ice cold.

Thinking a pie stand would be welcome in bk for the show. Don't know how well an icebox cake would hold up but I think on a hot day $1 a slice fruit pies would work really well ($2 with ice cream scoop)

1 buck a slice in NY? U gotta be kidding me. We're talking land of $50 to park your car for an hour or 2 and $350 to wash and detail it. I bought 2 pizza pies the other night, it was around 35 bucks. Good grief, I remember when pizza pies were $4.50 including delivery. WTF

apparently I can't - wife agrees with you guys, $1 a slice is way too cheap, I guess I opened my mouth before I knew what's what. It is starting to look like there won't be any pie at the show, but hey - there will still be free beer.

Wife doesn't want to spend her weekend baking pies while she has her own bun in the oven.

If you bring pie, I'll bring ice cream, then only the cool kids can have them.
