Hi, I've found your site and joined because I've just bought a 1978 CB750 K8. It hasn't arrived yet but my plan is to turn it into a Cafe Racer. How far I go on a strip down and rebuld wll be determined when I get to see it up close.

Currently I ride a Triumph Daytona and though I'm a Brit I live in Baltimore, MD and would love to hear from anyone else in the local area.

When I lived in the UK I was close to the ACE back when all Mark had was a caravan selling tea in the parking lot and one room in the building set up as a shrine to the Cafe Racing scene- it was stopping in there for a cuppa and meeting him that got me interested in the whole Cafe Racer lifestyle and prompted me to buy a Triton some months later!

I'm sure I'm going to need help and advice so you'll probably see me popping up and asking the same questions you've all answered a million times!
Regards,
Nick.

Hey Brit!
I am in York, PA which is kind of close to Balt.  Feel free to stop on up.
Dig the avatar - Lock Stock I believe?

Also noticed you had a GSX as first bike.
I had a GSXR as my first and only new bike back in '85-86.

Hi Jim,
Yup it is from Lock, Stock- though I think Snatch is the far better film!

I hope to get the bike done by March so a spring ride out would be a great idea. It turned out the bike is in great condition and the wiring harness is really good- I dont know if someone replaced it or something.

Lots to do though. I keep meaning to put up a build thread in the Project forum but haven't got round to doing any pics yet.
