My guess is that those good old boys spend a lot of time re-building their forks and checking their headstocks and tripple trees for cracks and damage....

At a recent track day I came into the pits and rode through a large puddle of water on the concrete. Pumped with adrenalin. I thought "I'll grab the front brake and do a massive burn out". A microsecond later and I though to myself "don't do it mate, you idiot, you'll wind up a screaming heap on the deck".....Like most stuff on a motorbike like "can I get past this slow bastard in the available roadspace ahead", if you have any doubt or have to think twice, don't do it. There is no way I'm going to try to wheelstand my bike! I'm too old, the bike's too old and what does it prove?

Hi kghost, yep, my last post was a bit pompous...I really meant to say that I wouldn't wheelie my bike because it would be just my luck to drop it in the process or really stuff the forks, they are 36 years old...
