Mac 4 into 1 exhaust questions/problems- '74 550
« on: October 04, 2011, 02:07:29 PM »
2 issues with my conversion from stock 4 into 4 exhaust to the MAC. First is the center stand. Without the rubber stop on the lower left pipe of the stock system the stand hits the chain. I've removed it and fashioned a temporary axle for it out of a piece of a pry bar. This works fine for temporary use in maintenance, etc. but does anyone have a fix that would let me keep the center stand full-time (i.e. would new a new rubber stopper somewhere).
Second is the rear axle. Left in stock configuration the axle can no longer be pulled from the right side without removing the muffler. Again not a big deal but couldn't I just reverse the axle so it pulls out from the left side??

Yes.

Last year I joined a support group for procrastinators.
We haven't met yet.

Yes.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. Thanks for the succinct answer and photo.
