If memory serves me correct, it does.
A few weeks ago when he mentioned this "CB750 goldmine", he talked at length about the kawi. He did a lot too it, and I remember it having something extra like a blower/supercharger/turbo/something or another.

I delivered a boat there, stayed a couple days. West Virginia is, how shall I say this? uh, "country" Nascar is huge, nice folks though.

Sholuda offered him 125 for the 101*** motor.. I paid more for a lower end in that range.. and it had had water in it.. and threw a rod.. and I think a chain..

The Honda drag frame looked pretty good, shoulda used the casino money for that.. didja check the #s on the cases in it?

Did not notice the blower on the Kawi, but was wondering about the Zoomie pipes.. front wheel looks like a Mitchel from PM, bacxk maybe a Kosman or Dymag..

I've seen many well kept running engines on the local craigslist for $200.
The engine on the frame was a die cast as well. Trust me fellas - I wanted to BELIEVE!

One person has expressed possible interest in the frame. If he sees the pic and wants the contact info, he can have it (as long as this thread isn't mentioned). lol

Good idea about keeping the thread going with any/all future sandcast hunts! Might be hard to top the complete failure of the OP though.

Okay, I've been on board since the beginning of this saga, but sometimes my memory isn't the greatest, and maybe this question has already been answered, but was there a reason initially why the seller couldn't or wouldn't provide engine numbers before you spent all that time and money driving out there to find out what was statistically inevitable?

Had the same opportunity come to me at an earlier stage of life I would have done the same thing. Hell, before I was married with children, I drove a friend's van from Western Oregon to Denver to buy my K1 sight unseen.

Found this post today concerning the aluminum drag frame, and noticed a similarity with the frame pictured, and this frame I have.
From what I've learned, Russ Collins had four of them built, along with his multi-engine frames.
I've seen pictures of one, fully restored by Randy Mott.
This could make three accounted for, assuming that's it hiding under that tail piece.

Here is the other frame for easier side by side comparison. Sure does look to be very similar with what may be an oil bung on the top tube etc. Might be a very rare item indeed. Think someone (ecerpt) better toddle back and get it and a K0 engine or two

That's fuel in the top tube, oil in the front triangle. Weighs 22lbs.

I was curious about the little nub in front of the fuel filler bung, so I just peeked in the tanks. It appears to be a solid rod that extends through the top tube, and supports an oil return pipe that exhausts near the front of the tank, behind the neck. The pick up is low on the back of the tank.

Well Excerpt, I said way at the beginning of this thread I would be watching with interest as to how this finished up.
Sorry to hear this didnt go well but to find 5 sandcast motors in one place at one time would be like finding your "Eldorado".
A guy he in NZ who was selling bikes through a reputable auction house had a CB750 listed as a"sandcast". It was certainly an early Honda but the engine number was outside the 7414 sandcast range. Some people just do not know their bikes, no matter how good they think they are.
Bad luck man, but hey, you never know what may be round the corner.
