there are deals out there and there are people that either dont know or dont care what "retail" prices are

I just bought a low number sandcast frame from a "chopper" guy.  he knew snadcast made things more expensive so when he got 4 times what he thought a cb750 frame was worth he was thrilled......he thought a fair price was $50 for a none sandcast....was he wrong?  what he happy with what he got?...yes so thats all it is.  like i said things are worth what people pay.

There are deals to be had, look at that bike that greenjeans? just got.  a real life sandcast....guy said it was an 84...lol

lets face it most things that say honda on them are not all that rare.  even a sandcast is one of 7500!
look at the car world when they are talking about one of a hundred built or something.
Hell I drive an 08 VW thats one of 5000!  that make it rare?

The problem right now is that the old honda thing is hot and for better or worse it has brought alot more people into "the game" of buying and selling
So when something pops up on the open market its either gone in 30 seconds or viewed as "tainted" for some reason.

This deal doesnt sound like its on the open market and thats why the time thing isnt so much of  factor.
The owner has set a price that he feels is reasonable and the buyer now knows that its a great deal.  i say IF it happens then its win win.

I've tried many times to explain the same thing when the inevitable "How much is this bike worth" threads come up, but people who ask that question don't want a correct answer, they want a number. ::)

Reminds me of a scene in that movie/book "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy " the answer to life, universe and everything

says it all here :

the answer to life, universe and everything

so you see the number they want is 42 but they arent gonna like it  :)!

I tried giving out "tree-fiddy" as an answer before, and it went over about as well. ;D

Well....It's on!

My friend and I are driving his truck to the sellers place on Wednesday to pick it all up.

After calling my friend to verify that he was still up for it, and that we were using his truck (he's kind of flaky), I called the seller back and said we would be there Wednesday.

Interestingly, the seller said if I changed my mind about coming to get it all, that he was OK with it.  ???

What do you think that's about?!

We will find out WEDNESDAY!!  :)

It means he has sand, a cast, a bike engine (probably a stuck Suzuki) and really doesn't want you coming over and exposing his charade for what it is.  Not a good sign, but today is the day. THE day!

Priceless EKPENT, the expression on the birds face and the comment, LMAO!! Yep, I could take a fair amount of ribbing from a bunch of guys on an internet forum for a potential $10K paycheck.  :-)
