Feedback on jetting a 466 kit with bored carbs
« on: October 09, 2011, 10:53:24 AM »
Here's some jetting info for those interested.  I can't verify if throttle response is totally smooth, but this should be a good starting point.  I can't verify this because I'm in South Africa until December and my customer is picking up his motorcycle before I return (work was done at my local shop).

With a 466 kit, bored carbs, stock exhaust and stock intake system, the best jetting turned out to be stock configuration (75 mains and no changes to needle position).  Rick Denoon of DenoonSP says his 466 with bored carbs runs best with 95 mains, but he has pods or stacks and a non-stock exhaust.

That's all, just wanted to share some knowledge.
