I will pay for a painter next time, LOL
« on: October 10, 2011, 04:13:57 PM »
Well after an extremely heavy learning curve I feel great knowing that I could do a fantastic job next time. However, IMHO, That stuff is for the birds....

I got a 1/3 price paint job plus a real good education...
but what a pain in the a**.

If and only if I was to do it again I would get a spray gun and paint in cans(not spray cans)
then I would build a PVC paint room with heat lamps.
then I would buy premium masking tape.

Anyhew....PICS YAY!!!

Flat black always looks unfinished like primer.
Unless you want a RAT bike.

Flat black is the lazy method. Harley Davidson is ruining
their new bikes by painting them flat black. The resale value will be ZERO.

I park next to one every day and the first time I met that guy I asked hey man why did you paint that whole bike flat black? just a laughing. But man he thought it was cooooool.

way too many harleys down here. I have been paying real close attention to it lately out of 10 bikes you will get 7 harleys 2 crotch rockets and 1 random cruiser. geesh

I used Satin Black......heh!
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.
