Introducing myself!
« on: May 14, 2006, 07:14:06 PM »
Hello. I am an 18 year old highschool student from northcentral ohio. My first bike was a 1994 Harley Sportster drag bike that runs 10.70s. I got it when i was 12 but didn't ride it until last summer. My first bike that I actually rode was a 1981 Yamaha XS400 with 1200 original miles that has been abused on at the strip since i was 16. got it down to 14.81 at 89mph. Just purchased a full custom monoshock frame from Horton Customs in TN. Frame was set up for a Yamaha Radian motor, but I just purchased a CB550 motor from EBAY. Plan on stickin it in my custom frame and makin a strange bobber style bike that will only see strip and shows. Gonna mod the hell out of the 550 motor over time. Pry start with 593cc big bore kit then work my way up from there. Im going to be goin to college this summer for to become a registered nurse and get another degree in radiology. Im big into drag racing and motorcycle drag racing, and now the low buck custom scene. Well there I am!

i am not a rich boy..in fact just the opposite. i live in the middle of a hick town in ohio...we live off a small VA pension...just have toys we pick up for cheap. so far i have $150 in the motor and $275 in the chassis...this is very low buck so far!

Very impressive work for a tight budget. I'd like to see future updates as you progress.

I'd also like to welcome you to the site. That IS quite quite a wild looking ride. I've thought
along the lines of a monoshocked 550 myself. Your example isn't really my idea but is quite
impressive and interesting at that. I'm hoping for a more subtle look for mine but, it helps me to
see someone else going in that direction. Keep up the good work and by all means keep us
        posted.
                                                   Later on, Bill :) ;)
