They are decent mid grade shocks for regular street use and I run them on my bike as do many others. If you are looking for high performance shocks (you did post in the high performance forum...) then you need to look at Ohlins or Works shocks.

Alloy bodied Ikons , white power, showa, YSS. there are piles of upmarket shock manufacturers around but in the price range you are looking at the progressives are probably the best.

Could someone point me at an Ohlins shock that will actually fit a K5?  I've had some trouble trying to sort this one out.

The HO-140 Ohlins are the ones i am thinking about, they are longer but i am moving my shock mount further forward so the slightly extra length won't concern me.....  They are listed for the Boldor models....  The HO-153E are also for the same bikes except they don't have the gas reservoir, emulsion type....  They don't have a clevis but i am sure that could be easily sorted, may be too much trouble for some..... ;)   Email Ohlins and see what they say...
