Anyone ever have wrist pin knock on a CB 750?

 Does it sound like tappet noise only a bit louder ?

It isn't a ticking like tappets, but a little deeper. You can accentuate it just off idle with throttle blipping.

Mine is sounding a bit like a tappet but louder.. I also have a valve stem wearing on the same cylinder..
 The sound really reminds me of the ticking noise a well muffled BMW twin makes.. but louder

I've had Yamaha's that sound EXACTLY like loose tappets.
Yamaha had a recall and we changed 'a few' rods  ;D
You could see where piston was 'JUST' touching head (enough to clean off carbon and no more)
