End of the world (again)
« on: October 15, 2011, 01:32:34 pm »
Harold Camping, the guy who predicted the world would end last May has revised his calculations.  Instead of the chaos, it will just end.  Mark your calendars for next Friday, October 21.

It's fabulous that God endowed American preachers with the gift of predicting the end of the world.... no other country would dare do that, but that's just 'cos their not 'enlightened' like our brethren are  ;)

If you see the world ending over there across the pond let us know, we should still have another 8 hrs.  before it gets to US.

And I was concerned about getting some things in shape and prep for the Winter temps.

Ya think I need to go ahead, or just forget it?  :-\     ::)

I was just thinking about the effects of getting to the year 2000 and how SOME folks were stocking up!  ;D

Instead of stocking up, what about some of the followers of this guy who sold everything in anticipation they would no longer need any worldly goods.  Some non-believers must have gotten some bargains.  Wonder if any motorcycles went cheap ?  BTW it's 1:35pm EDT and everything is holding together.  ::)

How do you know the world didn't end already?

Jack from Lost didn't until the lame ending.

Harold Camping has announced that he will no longer offer predictions on when the world will end.   ::)
He now says we should just be ready.  Reminds me of the old Curtis Mayfield and the Impressions song "People Get Ready".
