Cheap 18 inch mag front wheel
« on: October 15, 2011, 08:30:40 AM »
Been walking past this everyday and had forgotton it was an 18, thought it was a 19
Yamaha 400? mag, correct disc pattern and bearing size for sohc, will need spacers.
Just bringing it up as these can sometimes be found for reasonable price.. ie price of a rim.or spokes.. or even less..

Did you post a pic, 754?  The reason I ask is that if you did, it's not showing up on my computer...

Local shop told me that it was pretty common to use Yammy SR500 mag wheels on CB750's, but that you had to use the rear sprocket & brake assemblies and figure out spacers.

If shipping from Canada wouldn't kill me, I'd be interested in it. I have a 16" rear Lester that it would match nicely.
 I think I'd prefer a 19" front, though...

Alrighty , seems my idea did not come across..
Its on a mockup frame in my shop, not looking to part with it.
JUST SAYING.. if you want to switch to 18 inch (& some of you have), rather than pay 90 bux for spokes, 150 for a rim, plus lacing.. you can just buy a mag for 100 bux ir less, fiddle with spacers and speedo, and save a bit..
