simple question,need help!

is the front wheel bearing retainer nut on a 72 cb500 right or left hand thread?

the front wheel is normal thread,counter clockwise will remove it,,the rear wheel is a left hand thread,clockwise will remove it,the front one is aluminium and easily damaged,you might be able to tap it around but if its any thing tight itll be ruined,if you can make a pin wrench itll be easy to remove.

thanks for the reply dave500. have already found out the nut for the front wheel is very soft aluminium! got a new one one order and want too have it in hand before i tackle replacing the front wheel bearings. thank god it has been cold and rainy for the last few weeks. or i would realy hate having the bike down for repairs.

i should have posted the other side of those ,one is for the rear and has round pegs,the front one has the pegs filed square for the alloy retainer.

use good quality bearings as the ones from china are not greased they are yack fatted and the fat will turn to wax and trash the bearings
