Hey all. As a newbie here I thought I'd break the ice and tell ya a liitle about myself. I am a hick from Nebraska that has had bikes since the tender age of 6 with no signs of giving them up in the near future. I 've owned, ridden, raced, and wrecked just about every type of bike, car, boat, and tractor there is as well as some stuff that wasn't even meant for any of the above! I have been through all the fads and tried everything from show cars to race cars to 4 wheel drives, and have now come back to my roots and realized that what really touches my soul and makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside is the same thing that got me started bustin' knuckles in the first place, ratty old motorcycles! Anyways, I currently have just about cut up stripped down and hot roddded my once shiny and stock Harley Lowrider to the point of really being as much a member of my family as my wife and kids, so now it is time to start on my '74 CB 550 that I bought a while back for my wife. Yes, it is her bike but alas, I have found myself reluctant to turn over the reigns to her as I have been having a blast toodling around town on it while of course doing the occasional hole shot in front of my neigbors over-maintained house and their miserable barking dogs. O.k. to make an epic novel into a long story, I bought her (the bike, not the wife) for a 175 big ones, drug her home, cleaned the carbs, spray pinted her with my signature flat black Krylon from Pamida, and WhoaLa!, we have a jr rat rot in the works. O.K., back to work now. Bossman is looking at me funny.
