Hi all in Australia, I live in Kadina SA and was wondering if there is anyone else here in this state with a 400? I own a  1975 CB400/4 SuperSport in Light Ruby Red and as far as I know there is only one other red or any color for that matter, registered and on the road here. It would be great to hear from anyone as I am slowly restoring my "pony", it was covered in about 2inches of grease and grime when it was delivered. It took a strong stick, blunt knife and lots of degreaser to find the bike. She is now a lovely red with some new parts and a set of header pipes yet to be fitted to top off the major work.  There is a minor oil leak and I am hoping it is just incorrect head tension. When I got the bike there was a gasket set minus the head gasket - I am assuming a new one was fitted and not tensioned correctly. I don't have the previous owners details anymore.
It will be great to chat to others with this bike. My other bike is a Yamaha FZS600 1998, and I would much rather be out riding than in the car. Trips to Adelaide are common on the bike. And through the Adelaide Hills - what are stress reliever!! I'll post photos when I can.

Down on the south coast, have a 400/4 (yellow) and 750/4 (red). There's a few 400/4's in the Vintage Jap club.

Welcome aboard, maybe we can catch up one day.

Hi Guys, Thanks for your replies, I was starting to feel a bit like a Leper. Yes it would be great to organize a ride day for our bikes, I like to watch peoples heads turn when I ride by on a bike that is not common, around here I gets lots of looks, especially after her new paint job! She sparkles in the sun. Yeah I'm a bit of a poser but hey! If you got it - Flaunt it!  8

Adding pics!
« Reply #5 on: October 10, 2011, 08:40:09 PM »
Can anyone tell me how to add pics (bragging rights) to the website. I have looked around and can't find anywhere that says to download pics - unless of course it is staring me in the face! I also tried to upload my own picture as an avatar but a message said the size was too large -  what is the correct size for an avatar?
All replies will be appreciated.

Cheers and thanks in anticipation
Kerry.

Can anyone tell me what size attachment pics should be. I have now tried 4 times, resizing pics to 600x450, similar to another posted pic, but keep getting the message " Request Entity too large". Something is not working. ( It's probably just me!)
Please advise.

Thanks.

your pics are limited to 270 kb or something like that. you either get to reduce their size pixel (?) wise or upload them to photobucket or the like and link them. jesus christ I sound like a puter geek.

Yep, photobucket auto resizes them , just copy the image code under the pick in photobucket and paste it into your post...
Photobucket is free..... ;)

Thanks guys,
I did research Photobucket but decided to give Windows and my patience another shot.
I managed to re-size two pics with Windows Live Photo Gallery - it worked although they aren't big pics but visible.    :)
