Having trouble posting pictures..............will try photobucket and link to post!
Parts are pretty much most engine parts (1971-1975), cranks, 3 x cases, cams, covers, starters, carbies, stators etc.........
Couple of guards and 3 x tanks- very good to average condition.
2 x frames that have consecutive serial numbers - K1 or K2?? 1 x frame has been used for racing and most tabs are ground off, the other is very average but certainly useable............
I need 2 x 18 inch DID's for my CB400f and interested in trades???

Well, finally sold some bikes and got money enough to get my orange '74 550F regoed and on the road.
Passed blue slip with flying colours. Looking pretty good with new sidecovers, thanks to Frankenstuff. Great quality product worth every penny. Found a can of orange engine enamel rolling around the shed and a close enough colour match for me. Polished the tank, chrome and changed the oil and away we flew.
Next on the agenda is some new rubber. Undecided as to which brand, but would appreciate anyones input. Dunlop TT100's look period and are reasonably priced. Come in inch sizes. Metzler on the front at the mo but the matching rear only comes in metric. I've read a little and have learnt that oversize tyres don't allow the sidewalls to work correctly and tread squares off as a result. I've read a lot of posts on this forum and it seams a recurring theme.
Next after tyres is fittment of electronic points that came with bike and then fight with myself whether to modify and to what extent.
Cheers all.

Gday Bosco, Bridgstone BT45's are a good tyre and a common choice for the 550.

yeah ive used a few sets of the bt45s and they are good,,ive been using the pirreli sport demons for the same money and i think i like them better,,if you want the period looks square profile tyre thats up to you,if you like to ride the bike and lean a bit more eagerly then go either the bt45 or sport demons, they are both good,i found the bt45 fronts always scalloped to one side as have other blokes with many different later bikes,i also had my front squealing a lot when cornering hard,no sign of slipping just a sort off anxious sound.

Thanks for your input guys.
What sizes are you running in the BT45's?
I do like the idea of a rounder profile. I went from Bridgstones to Michelin Pilots on my Gsxr and it changed the feel of the bike dramatically, not that I expect to be scraping my knees on Jaffa.
