Hey guys,
No it is not my daily bike, yess they are what they are, overly expensive , track like #$%*, have bad speed ratings and are not ment to be!

For my likings, they also look awsome and would to on my expo bike. My Only concern, is here in canada, i only seem to have found one vendor.... Who sells them 480 plus tax which seems rediculous.

Any of you guys have some 4.50 x 18 and 4.00 x 19 up for sale, or might know how much they go for in your area?

cheers!

Go directly to Coker.    They sure have gone up in price over the last couple of years, but it looks like they're about $150 a piece on their site.

Jp cycles and Dennis Kirk used to sell them online as well - haven't checked in a while.
Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.

That Firestone is also made by Coker.  The carcass design of Coker's tires is based on current materials..not natural fabric cord like the originals, the tread compounds are also based on current rubber/polymer compounding. Speed rating is mainly a carcass material issue.  They purchase the tread mold from the original maker and license the use.  S, T or H ratings are plenty for these bikes.  Load range is more important on a M/C tire because that's what dictates heat deterioration when tires aren't properly maintained.  Tread design...well, its main purpose on a street machine is move water from the footprint.  It's second purpose is to hook you with the cool factor.  Compounding affects traction way more.  A trip to TN to visit Coker is well worth it.  Corky will personally take you on a tour and give you all the info you need to decide if they make what you want.

Thanks for the info guys... What is killing me is shipping through canada.... The best fee for something like tires, helmets, or anything that comes in a good sized box goes over 100. I guess paying those tires the price i mentioned earlier still beats paying for a trip to coker and back .
I have all winter to find a better solution! If ever some of you guys are planing a trip up north, let me know!!

I don't know where in Canada you are, but with tax and shipping X two tires, I'd find either a US friend to reship or time to take a vacation over the border.

Wellington Muck, with my three little kids and wife doing med school, i doubt i'll get a chance to cross the border! But hey! Who knows what a few months and some chance can bring me! I'm in Québec by the way!
