'74 cb750k No lights all of a sudden.
« on: October 22, 2011, 06:28:23 AM »
Just bought this bike and suddenly have no headlight, tail light or marker lights.  Turn signals, stop light, horn and indicator lights all work just fine and bile runs.  Bad ground?  Where would you suspect it would be?  I have replaced the fuses and the bulbs look good.  Thanks ahead of time.

I would start inside the headlight bucket looking for loose or corroded connections.  Next would be the control units on the handlebars.  You may have to get out a multimeter or test lamp with a schematic after that.

Is the brake light out also ? Probably--  Try turning the key all the way to the right in the park option once for kicks..

Parking light works.  Tightened the grounds I could find.   Hey!  This bike has a light switch!  Duuh.  Have a Ph.D. but never thought of that.  Problem solved!  Well I have set a high standard for participation on this forum.  I'll just tuck my tail between my legs and go back to lurking.  Thanks anyway.
