I like the color... Maybe get rid of the decal and copy the early 750's. Use the k1 decal for reference. I think it will pop more.

Gold is pretty loud man. Get ready to talk about it often. But it looks pretty.

Love the colour, and love the stripes, but would keep them straight and not do the lightning bolt zag imo. I'd even like to see it on the cowl, although it's pretty wide and might overwhelm it at the back.

I love the zig zag in the paint. Definitely different than the thousands of other bikes with identical stripes. I would ABSOLUTELY continue the stripe on your tailpiece though.

A few bits and pieces painted , also again the bike in a new color :)
Think it might just stay like this and add stripes in silver to match the aluminium parts

Tomorrow is engine asembly day ;) all the bits have arrived ( minus the camchain )

Hey man, Look'n GOOD!

Not sure if you have posted this info already; What are you using for head studs to hold this beast together and clutch to handle the increased power?

I didn't think the 650 studs were compatible to the 550?

Also don't think the 650 clutch will fit in the 550 motor? at least not without the cover as well?

I've had good luck with BARNETT clutch kit's in a hopped up 550.

According to paulages it should be possible to use the 650 basket , if you also use the primary gear from the 650 and modify the cover a bit to fit the sproket. , havent tried yet though .
Also i dont see why i shouldent be able to use the 650 head bolts , i have removed the 550 ones , and im using the 650 cylinder and head , they are both 8 mm ant thr lenght should be correct ?

Oh Sorry, I forgot you were using the 650 cylinder and head.

Good to know about the Clutch mod option; I'll have to stay posted to see how it works out.

No thanks for asking , that makes me think things through one more time and maybe find stuff i got wrong or forgot :)
Got the gear mechanism togheter , 650 clutch basket and primary gear , with the 550 release plate , fits togheter nicely .
And the best is i appear to have five gears and neutral :)

Rebuilding carbs , early Z1 mikunies
This is what they looked like a week ago
And second pic is now after dipping them in thinner for a night , beadblasting and cleaning .
Then a complete rebuild kit from z1 enterprises .

The linkage has also been rebuilt and shortened 14 mm to fit the spacing on the 650 head , will probably be finished and painted tomorrow .
Just waiting for a new set of stainless alanhead bolts to put it all back togheter.

Its a S15 drifting car, used to be driven by Yasuyuki Kazama in the 04-06 series, now its beeing raced in the Scandinavian series.
The guy doing my machining is running a company called Volden Racing , he works mainly with high performance street and racing cars.
In the top left corner you can also barely see a blue S15 drifting car .
