Speaking of missing covers... CB750 K8 covers?
« on: October 24, 2011, 08:34:21 AM »
I really need covers for my 75 CB550, but looking at the K8 covers they appear identical... but looks can be deceiving.

Anyone have experience with the K8 and the CB550 323 covers? Do they swap or are they close?

A long shot... but barring that, perhaps a measurement of the distance between the pegs would give me an idea if they would fit.

Check out Frakenstuff here on the site. He makes covers so he would know best. If you need new cover his stuff is perfect.

Yeah, would love to buy from him.

But he does not make the 323 covers I need. =(

I am looking at buying a used set that has some cosmetic damage and see if he will make a mold for it. I can't be the only cb550K guy out there.

1977/1978 covers were specific for that model unless you are not going to mount emblems.

I'm not sure they would fit. **just clicked on above link** Learn something everyday.  ;)

Does this help? http://www.sohc4.net/?p=350

I have studied that carefully. The tab rotation is not that big of a deal, I can think of several ways to get around that.

The problem is finding the damn things. FB makes the "unscooped" F styles, but not the K style.
Except that CB750 K8 is the right shape, but might be bigger than the cb550.

If I could get measurements, I might be able to determine if it would work or not.
