I was talking with an attorney a few days ago and I was curious as to what he meant by bamboozeler. Is that a gay version of a 'grifter?' Are  these even related terms?  Or is it the hornschwaggler. or niether that is more leaning towards homosexual?  Or are they al the same and there are other slangs or synonyms I do not know about.
What do you call certain people ?   Chislers?   Swindlers?


I have to type an important letter or two and I want / have to choose my words carefully.

A bamboozeler is like a trickster, as in, i thought i knew what he was doing but what happened completely bamboozled me..

I think all the terms you've posted up there are old terms for a confidence trickster long before the term "gay" meant anything but happy and carefree.

Actually this is rhetorical, and
I've heard the word before, just surprised to  hear him use. It. made me recall hornschwagger.. maybe I shold get some chuckles from urban dictionary in a bit when I have time.

Yeah,  it's just my siblings. I guess I know them for as long as I can remember, thought there might be a name for the homosexual persuasion of swindler. Uhhh, yeah, the movie Own Private Idaho maybe comes to mind, but not as strange in some ways.

I filed some stuff to try to get some answers, but the person in control of my share of an inheritance is getting calls  here from robocal collectors, at my house.  I remember at his house there were 10x as many, and every day some collection agency calling several times a day.  It doesn't bolster any cnfidence.

Not like I'm a professional debt avoider, but I did make some of them go away real good once.  Bro can't seem to figure out how to  do that.
