Topic: Dual discs on a '78 550K?

 I was in the middle of collecting parts to do a dual disc conversion on my '78 550K and Rangelov informed me that the speedo drive adapter won't work with '78 hubs.
 I had seen something about this but it was in reference to CB750 hubs and mentioned "very late '78 bikes", so I didn't think too much of it.

 What's different about the hubs? Is it possible to do a dual disc setup on a '78?

 So, I'm told all is not lost. A few ways to do it; modify the disc hub OR the wheel hub OR the driver. Still trying to find a "how-to", but my search is coming up empty. Lots of pics of the finished product, not much info on what they're doing, how or why.
