Daytona 70
« on: October 27, 2011, 08:09:41 am »
I went to visit a mate of mine last night, he was in America in 1970, and did a bit of odd jobbing in motorcycle shops in LA, on Daytona week he was asked if he would be interested in going to daytona with 2 lads out of the shop who were racing there, just to keep an eye on the bikes over the weekend, he helped out with the Honda works garage as well, one of the jobs he had was to remove the burned out tyre from the ill fated CR750 that crashed, here are a few photos of the Honda garage, with Tommy Rob working on his bike, also a picture of the original program, that i am reading through at the moment.

great pics Cobra ! Is it just me or did you mistakenly placed  4 and 5 twice instead of 2 and 3 ? If so I'd be very interested to also see those missing pics !

That's Tommy Robb...........and a nicer bloke you couldn't wish to meet, a really great guy. First met him at a dinner party in the IoM during the 1997 races. I had no idea who he was at that time, but boy can he tell a story.
