I need some help. I'm getting spark to all plugs. 4,3 are burning hot. 2,1 get colder respectively. I checked the carbs, which are clean. Gas flows nicely, no clogs, no corn residue. Plugs are all in good condition.
Now, I cannot seem to get the timing correct. I "static" timed it first, which helped a huge amount, and idles much smoother. But I cannot get the marks to be where it states they should be according to Clymer. It seems I run out of adjustment before the marks are where they should be.
When I did the static timing, the test light goes on at both points when I touch each side.(yellow and blue). For example, the marks match up, light goes on each side. I rotate the engine to next mark, and the light goes on on each side. Is this correct?
I'm stuck. Any ideas? I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, or over looking something....
