750A Fuel Gauge Question.
« on: May 18, 2006, 12:32:31 PM »
I have a '76 750F with a 750A tank on it and I was wondering how I could hook a fuel gauge to the sending unit wire on the underside of the tank?

I could get an aftermarket gauge but what is the resistance qualities of the sender?

Hey!  Sounds like a good thing to have.  I like gauges, lots of gauges.

I always connect an ohmmeter lead to the stud where you connect the gauge wire.  Then I connect the other ohmmeter lead to ground.  I work the float arm and check the meter reading.

I wish I could give you an actual resistance, but I can't.  It should be quite low, couple hundred ohms.

Good luck
