Those look like a set of Trabacas (sp?) I had a friend at the Honda dealership I worked at back in the late 70's that had those on a 550. They sounded cool, but were awful as far as a performance pipe.

I thought I already posted these. They are Hooker Headers 4-2. I traded them away for a center stand since I purchased a new set of HM300's from DSS.

SOHC Digger, those pipes sure do look like they were made by American Motorsports. The bends coming from the exhaust ports are unique and there’s probably not too many sets that have survived.

They are a 4-2 crossover design with an integrated fiberglass baffle. They are nice and rumbley at idle, sound almost like a subaru under load and you can hear them from a mile away. And they still don't hurt my ears.

Stev-o nice headers you have, i seen your avatar while back and was thinking you had the Action 4's....I had them om my K1 and they sounded real nice...i traded my buddy for a Kerker 4-1...looking to see some pic's those are very rare.

These are Action Fours, name is on the muffler clamp. It combines cyl 1&4 and 2&3 and has slash cut mufflers.
I like the sound, fairly quiet under 4K RPM but sound great over that.

Stev-o, that’s a nice looking Action Four exhaust system you have.

Pictured below is what looks to be the same or similar system as yours. Since my Action Four catalog is undated, I would guess it dates from around the mid to later seventies. Having a price tag of $189.50 and showing 750 F model fitment provides a pretty good clue. The 4 into 2 (shown) is the only system offered in the catalog, as the rest are 4 into 1 headers.

Pairing the 1-4 and the 2-3, arranging them in firing order for a swirl, or making equal length headers were all tried. While the ideas may be elegant, in real life no advantage to any of these ideas was ever documented. No discernable increase in power over simply sticking the pipes in the collector as you come to them. The way the factory did it.

I have searched through this thread a many others and haven't seen this what I have listed/shown anywhere. Each of the header pipes comes out of the collector and there is a removable baffle. I thought that they might be a set of Jardine's, but mine do not have the baffle that runs the full length of the megaphone. Does anyone have any ideas?

I would almost bet those are “Dick’s Cycle West” exhaust. If that’s the case, then those are quite rare as Dick’s was a short lived business who marketed his “Racer 1” line of café parts around 1973-74. The pipes in the ad look to be for a Kaw 900, but also has some features found in your Honda 750 exhaust. I would keep them until a 100% positive ID can be made.

Yoshimura - I have the same system on my 400/4 but in chrome .... well, chrome when I fitted it in the late 1970s - chrome and rust now ......
