The header appears to be a stock 550F model. Unsure of muffler.

Thanks Steve-o. I am struggling to find any manufacturer that does an exact replica of the header. I looked on eBay but it’s hard to find it in UK. I love the look!

My home made 4-4 (350 / 400):

- Original header pipes, cut where the silencers would have begun
- Original hangers
- Peashooter style 'hooligan' cans.
- Home made connector pipes.

1968/very early '69 one-piece,welded,  CB350 CB250 Super Sport Exhaust ... it's taken me 8 years to find a nice a pair of these.
Internal baffling and sound very different to later models. My 'Holy Grail' part for many years.

Stock CB550F headers, an adapter made by a local engineering shop and EMGO reverse cone muffler fitted to the original exhaust bracket with the center stand rubber stop.. Also have the option to fit an EMGO Cafe muffler with baffle insert (without insert it is far too uncomfortable for me) and Whites shorty reverse cone muffler which the rear cone comes of and you can play around with exhaust packing.

I also have a rusty/battered aftermarket set of 4 into 1 SAGA headers. Made in Wellington here in New Zealand for around nz$300ish.They were made new in the late '70s-early '80s. A matt black shorty EMGO Cafe muffler is attached. If I want that exhaust tape look put tape on these headers fit them to the C550F.

Kevin Weller from Two Wheels Engineering here in Palmerston North NZ made up the adapters for both set of headers. The OEM muffler rotted out after 5years and I didn't like the drain pipe arrangement on the SAGA headers.

Muffler looks like an older EMGO flat black short reverse cone type without the removable baffle.

 Here is a not so good view of a hooker 4-2 that center stand was narrowed to fit with the 4-2 in place. The bike sounded awesome, then I went 95mph for a mile or so and it was louder afterwards.  Note the 9 bolt sidecover. 5511

My late 70’s Yoshimura (machine bent) purchased in 79 for a 750F1 hugs the bottom of the engine. It stays centered under the engine (requires center stand delete) and once collected run back where the center stand would be and s bends out and up and runs very close to the swim arm, uses factory 4/1 muffler mounting bolt at rear foot peg, muffler pipe terminating right in front of the axle nut. Close enough the nut and cotter pin would soot if you left the choke on too long (with no baffle)....terminating close enough to the nut and swing arm a box end wrench won’t clear the pipe unless the chain is junk. The pipe required exhaust studs and flanged nuts for the individual two bolt flanged pipes. Oil filter changes are easy, but engine sump oil drains on the 4/1 merge and collector.. has large 1.508 od primaries and a mechanical baffle..

 I thought it looked like a late machine bent pipe someone claimed was Yoshi. I'm sure it isn't genuine but possibly was a clone. The angle makes me wonder if it is a dohc header. That said, the V&H is for dohc and it hugs the frame a lot closer.
