Stock Handlebar Replacement - Info, Suggestions, Etc.
« on: November 03, 2011, 08:13:50 AM »
I want to replace my non-stock handlebars with something close to stock. It's a 72/73 CB500 Four, OEM handlebar part #: 53100-323-000. Does anyone know the width and rise of stock bars or can you point me to a similar replacement? Stock bars are discontinued.

Top pic are the current bars. They have been on since the mid '70s, but I want something closer to stock. The bottom pic is a set I might have access to. I think they came off an old Triumph Bonneville. Interestingly enough, I think the bars I have might have as well.

Those bars in the bottom picture appear to be really close to what my stock one looked like. I replaced my stock ones.

Try the build/project forum. So many guys take off stock bars to do a cafe project. True original OEM bars should be an easy get. Also ebay. Good luck.
