Lots of member activity but no contender activity. How weird!

Do these guys even know they are in BOTY?  Well, I see Tintop and Terry posted.

But then things are a bit tiny using Tapatalk most of the time.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

Haven't been on here much, just a bit here and there and now I saw that the BOTY voting is going on. Ya know, I've seen a number of times that it was a job, trying to decide between 2 or maybe 3, but THIS TIME, there are MANY in the running, that are REALLY something to behold and I might be running close to deadline, trying to decide!  Some AWESOME bikes there guys!  ;)

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Might work if we did a generic sort of "Stockers" and "Racers"... but then we'd need a "Chopper/Bobber" group too...so.... I'm basing my vote on two factors, the number of people involved in the build and the number of pages dedicated to the effort.....Go Team Sam Green!!! My thanks and appreciation to the team, not just for a fine bike build, but for a great campaign and mostly for doing it here on the forum so the rest of us can watch...what a show!

On behalf of all the team, a real big thanks Dave. 8)
I have copy and pasted your comment into our thread, I'm sure the guys will be as pleased as I was to read it.
It has been a real big effort and when one considers the fact that most of the work and help has been via the Web/this forum, the finished bike makes it all the more unbelievable, what a team. 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

I let it all sit in mind and came back to it and the three that I had narrowed it down to had grown back up to 5. :( BUT, there was one bike that I just kept coming back to. It was something that just spoke to me and made me say, "Wow. That's a nice bike."

I've made my choice and placed my vote. I certainly wouldn't mind having a single one of these rides in my garage. It;s a great group of bike we've had this year. Well done to all!

I can't believe that I'm included among the other BOTY bikes. It's truly an honor. I would like to see more pictures of all the bikes so I'll start the ball rolling with some pictures of mine

I kind of figured TipperT, that between the BOTM photos, and my build thread there were lots to look at. ;)  But as the challenge has been made...... I'll start with some overall stuff.

A special thank you to Terry for his work on the remote filter adapter, and to Frankenstuff for the trick points cover & filter back plate.  Also a thanks to the forum members for the freely given advice, and knowledge shared.  Next some detail photos. ;) :) :)

I understand what you mean Tintop.  I do not know how many people would spend the time to go through all the BOTM's and build threads unless they were down to a few bikes to choose from.  Out of sight, out of mind.  Besides, maybe there are some new pics or video's to see.

Thanks for the pics!

There are two areas were I can offer some new detail photos - the paint, and the billet.

1st the paint.  I've always liked the traditional Honda red/white/blue (House of Kolors pearl); and the name Speed Warrior lead to the samurai theme.  The Kanji on the tank sides & top are the bike's name, and the 'logo' on the tail is the family crest for the house of Honda.  There were some open areas that bothered me, and after attending the GNRS, old school pin stripe became the answer.

As I sat down to post this last group of photos, I reflected on what an honour it is to be a part of BOTY.  It is a special feeling to have your vision & ideas validated by nomination to BOTM.  Then to have your work appreciated by your peers through voting, as BOTM, is a very special honour.  I am sure the other BOTY selections share similar feelings.  This years group is a diverse collection, and it is an honour to be included.

This last group of photos are of some of the many changes made to my 550.  The primary goal was to improve handling & braking, with minor tweaks to the engine.  The only major engine (1st over) additions were a Mega Cycle street/torgue cam, my filter kit ;), and the Swarbrick 4/4's.  To aid handling xGuzzi Borrani 18" rims, and braking through a dual disk conversion.

1st a thank you to Dennis & Byron @ CMR for turning my paper templetes, and drawings for the frame into steel.  They were also responsible for fabricating the SBK swingarm.  You can also see the rear brake conversion the cable, & alloy brake stay.

Besides the remote oil filter setup, the battery (lighter AGM) was moved lower and mounted on a tray from my CAD.  To keep a low CG the lightess electronics went into the tail, and the solinoid was mounted under the battery.

Along with going to dual disks, I reversed the calipers, and added a fork brace.  The brace was made by tkat to my design ideas, and uses flat dust seals from an 80 DOHC.

And lastly, the what others see, the stacked Swarbricks. ;D ;D
