I think everyone who makes Carb parts are improving the alloys for ethanol resistance out of necessity.  But I don't think that was Keysters problem.  If I remember correctly, Keyster had a fitment problem with some components.  Like the angle of the tip of the float valve was not right and the taper of the needles was off.  Things like that.

The needle taper was the problem I had with them. Compared Keyster's to OEM using a drill gauge to check how the tapers differed, and they did, by quite a bit. I ended up just using the old [OEM] needles.
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

If I remember correctly, Keyster had a fitment problem with some components.  Like the angle of the tip of the float valve was not right and the taper of the needles was off.  Things like that.

you would think if they made both the float needle and valve they would make it the same angle.

I try and get HONDA oem when it comes to carbs. They are usually not much more money and the lack of headaches are worth more than the that.

I was aware of the needle taper issues, I just wanted to throw this out there a little sarcastically.  I've started keeping my old jets and stuff and just replacing o rings.  I think that was talked about in another thread...
