Did you measure both wheels ?

I just now saw your response to this, sorry for the delay.

Yes, other than the wheel diameter I found no other differences in measurements between the two wheels(which I'll repost below). Given the opportunity to start from scratch I'm thinking I would like to run 520 sprockets. Would make o-ring chains possible I think.

Hub: 86mm
Hub to rim side a: 7.5mm
Hub to rim side b: 9mm (hub center beveled around thru hole on this side) Confirms 1.5 mm offset?
Thru hole: 2.34 inches (my caliper only goes 2 decimal places)
1974 CB550

Boxknife............when you are running for speed you want the least amount of drag on all components..........a clean chain (no o-rings) will count for extra speed..............just remember to clean and oil it before you leave the salt-flats.

You may be interested in the Texas Mile and the new Ohio Mile (replaces Maxton) events. They are on asphalt and offer great opportunities to test your machine before you go to the salt-flats. Check them out on the landracing.com site.
