A Public Apology to the forum
« on: May 21, 2006, 12:00:27 PM »
I thought it was time for a public apology in good taste. In the future I will refrain from telling people to go......well you know if you have been paying attention here. Anyway I will now behave my self and take my meds.... Really, Heffay I promise.

Thanks guys. Funny, when we hammer on someone (in this forum) who is ranting we forget to think of what might be going on in their life that set them to a rant mode. Mine was mainly the epitome of the name ElCheapo. I was more pissed about my $35 than anything else. Maybe I am TOO cheap at times. Who knows, maybe they are really nice guys (just not my flavor) and refund my membership fees as I am too far away to ride with them on future rides that are on their roster. I can hope  ;D. If they don't - so what. I was not thier flavor nor were they mine. 8)

Nice one ELCheapo.

I read the old thread and got to thinking though. (this is in no way related to the earlier thread), about the modern way of not offending anyone. Specifically, the work environment.

By the time I was 21 I had my parentage read to me on a number of times, sometimes deserved, sometimes not. The air was always clearer afterwards and I knew where I stood and who had problems with me and what they were.

It's not like that anymore in the workplace and I think we are worse off for it

I agree, being PC bites.  It has made this country and the people in it weak and afraid of everyone.  I for one miss the avitar.

"PC makes people weak and afraid of everyone"

Jeez, how succinct and well put. I'll be quoting that in future.

Very big of you Cheapo...I have to say that I didn't really agree with how you "corrected" him however I would have had your back had I been around during the whole sorted affair. See the way I look at it is the guy who reamed you was a guest and you are one of the more knowledgable and active contributors around here...see it's sort of like family...My brother and I don't always see eye to eye on things but the second one of us is challenged the other is right there to back him up (even that time I told someone much larger than me to pretty much do what you told him to do...good thing my brother is also 6' 4"!)

Look who's talking- you've got that ugly fairing on your bike!    ;)

Seriously, I get it too, about speaking my mind.  Truth hurts, but not for long and in the end, I've made a friend.
