so i have scored yet another freebie
same story, buddy had it sittin around , gave up hopes of fixin it up , and passed the torch on to me
not sure why this keeps happening to me, not that i'm complaining
(....this makes 4 free bikes in the past 5 years, is that weird to anyone else)
so anyway, i've got this new girl, she's the #$%*. low stress, easy on the eyes (and a few other places if ya know what i'm sayin)
and juuust crazy enough to keep it interesting and not wind up with any new scars
she's never ridden a bike before.. well operated one anyway .
so this build, first and foremost is about keeping the functionality relatively easy to understand , and maintain i.e. : not hiding the fuse box so it's easy to get to on the road , leaving the battery accessible , ...and so on.. this
will be a cafe but, as always, i gotta but a little spin on it , but that'll be a surprise for later
i keep going back and forth on weather or not to do pods,if i do they'll be the Uni foam type
anyway , before i get to ahead of myself i should start slappin up the pics
the start
it has no title, but i'm told that getting that squared away is fairly easy in wisconsin
it was in a shed that was about 5 feet from a lake, for who knows how long , so it's got some mold, and is super super ratty . but it's all there
..........
here you can see the bent front forks , so if anyone has a pair of 500, 550,450 fork tubes, or even a whole frontend, hit me up
and so begin's the fun stuff , once ya start choppin stuff, it's hard to stop
outted the rear pegs, the seat mount and a bunch of other tabs and brackets, then cleaned up the welds for molding
...man, those were some of the ugliest ugliest welds i've ever seen
....oh, and here's the lucky recipient of this lovely 2 wheeled marvel
.....yeah
