I've been making a 'pan' out of tinfoil to catch the spent gas, but it's not working out too well.  What does everyone else do?

Thanks.

My favorite catch pan for this purpose comes from the grocery store.  It's from Entenmen's and it comes contaminated with a cherry or blueberry coffeecake which must be laboriously consumed to vacate and clean the tray.  (The sacrifices I make for my hobby. ::) )  The tray is about 4 inches wide and 10-11 inches long with about 3/4 inch sides.

I've got four or five of these trays now.   ;)

I've used ice cube trays, too.  But, the sides are a bit tall, which makes much it easier to spill.

I've always used a small tuna tin. I just let the drain screw and washer drop into the tin. Holds enough for a bowl and pour it into the lawn mower (after getting the screw and washer out  ;D).
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

Little aluminum catch trays for a Weber grill (barbie) at Home Depot.
I'd rather ride a Yamaha than eat worms.

In a pinch, and if you're really cheap  ;D  the cap off a can of chain lube, gumout, etc. will work too.

I always seem to have at least one empty milk jug lying around somewhere and just cut the bottom off of that...

Although... Llyod does make an excellent argument for his method as well.   ;D

Well for all of those who are for some reason afraid of the accelerator pump carbs, fear not cause when you open the drain screw a couple of turns fuel comes out of the brass overflow tubes, into the rubber tubing and into a catch cotainer conveniently sitting on the floor just below the swing are pivot. No mess, no hassle.  This was a nice improvement . . . . .

I have an old towel which I fold to fit under the carbs - this soaks up the fuel nicely and I hang it on the fence afterwards to evaporate, ready for the next time....

I just pop the clip and remove the bowl, gas and all. Pour the gas back in the tank. Guess I'm lazy :D :D
Give me..a frame to build a bike on, and my imagination will build upon that frame

Only the 750's have that option, though.  The others have four screws holding the float bowls on.  Never understood why Honda didn't stick with the clip type float bowls on all the models.

I keep a length of gas line handy, replace the drain tube with it and drain into a cup. Back into the tank.
Time is short!
