cracked stand pipes

does anyone know of a gas resistant sealant that can be used to seal cracked standpipes or perhaps another method of achieving the same thing.thanks

Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Remember "Its always in the last place you look" COURSE IT IS YOU STOP LOOKIN THEN!

I've used JBweld and it is still holding.
75' CB400F/'bunch o' parts' & 81' CB125S modded to a 'CB200S'
  I love the small ones too !

good replies and i thank all of you.first,i had jb weld on them and the gas ate it up,so i dont want to do that again.i had a friend of mine try solder and he said it wouldnt stick,now ek,i have seal all and am in the process of trying it,ill let you guys know how it turns out.thanks again

+1 on the solder, clean it well, I use sandpaper and a small soldering iron.  Permanent fix as far as I can tell.

Sand it a little also before the Seal All and let it dry well but I think you may be surprised.Fixed a cracked carb body by an emulsion tube a very,very long time ago and as far as I know its still hanging in there.

thanks frosty,the heat shrink sounds pretty good,ill see if the seal all works first
