MTC steel piston

MTC steel piston that is braised together and lighter than a cast alloy stocker.
But look out for the blown V8 sohc4 Honda just after the start. (2 mins 22 secs)

sam ,yea have seen this film by freind of mine , Baz tayler , used to have PHASE 4  motorcycles here in Aus

that is a cool film. i never knew that they made pistons with that high of compression back then. i believe he said something about 17:1?

Neat film. You can run lots of compression when you add nitro...as the large amounts of fuel.. cool the combustion chamber.

Ken Tipton...was a very smart guy.

PS We run .001" piston skirt to wall of bore, on our CRF450R AMA Pro flat trackers...as Alloy piston in alloy (coated) bore expansion rate is exactly the same.
220...221, whatever it takes.

Yea big Baz,fr Bris , he filmed it many yr's ago ,was a big MTC ,RC eng, supplier here   not with Twinkle any more ,or in his shop but still love's his bikes , one of the first guys in oz to drag race SOHC 4's in early 70's

Yep, anyone that was into performance Honda's or Kawasaki's in the 70's-80's knows who Barry is..... I live about 15 minutes from his old shop....
