Howdy from SW Georgia
« on: November 09, 2011, 03:47:12 PM »
Hey everyone. I've been lurking here for the past few weeks and figured I'd drop in and say hello.

I acquired a '74 CB750 as a riding project bike and am anxious to see where this takes me. I'm brand new to the whole motorcycle thing. I probably know just enough to get me in trouble.

I'm hoping to learn a lot to get this bike to "reliable daily driver" status and then some. There are a lot of things that I'd like to do to this bike, but I really am restricted on space and don't have a lot of knowledge as far as fabrication or motor work. I'm also pretty limited on space. I'm limited to a small gated in patio space and the parking lot. So yeah...good times.

Thanks for the welcome Vern! I'll definitely head over to the GA section also.

Took the bike up to Pine Mountain last weekend and it ran beautifully until I got back into town...it's already given me some headaches, but it's part of the experience right?  :o

Newton, I'm glad you're having fun with your bike, they are very addictive! Yes, there will be headaches along the way that are the price we pay for riding bikes so old, and who wants to ride a bike like everyone elses? I don't. I have to look up where Pine Mountain. Maybe we can do a ride before it gets too cold, even though I do ride year-round except when it's raining. keep in touch,Vern

I can go out to the garage start it upjust to hear her run, chill and down a brew, then the darn thing won't start.
